TUESDAY: "Practice What You Preach"

There is a word for someone who says one thing and does another: hypocrite. It is a word Jesus used freely when He looked at the religious leaders of His day. They taught the law but did not live it. They pointed others toward God while their own hearts were far from Him. None of us want to be that person. But if we are honest, the gap between what we believe and how we actually live can grow wider than we realize. We say we trust God, then we worry constantly. We say we love people, then we treat them as inconveniences. We say we follow Jesus, then we live for our own comfort. God is not calling us to be perfect. He is calling us to be genuine. He wants our lives to reflect what we say we believe, not because we are trying to earn anything, but because integrity is what it looks like when faith is real. When our actions line up with our words, people notice. And what they see points them toward God. This kind of integrity is not something we manufacture on our own. It is the fruit of a life that is genuinely connected to God. The more we walk with Him, the more our outside begins to match our inside.

If the people closest to you compared your private life to your public faith, what would they find?

Prayer

Father, I do not want to be someone who only looks the part. Align my heart with my words and let my life be a genuine reflection of what I say I believe. Make me real, not just religious
