Thursday 7/30: Hope That Changes How You Live

Prophecy is not a puzzle to solve or a timeline to map out. It is a gift meant to change the way you live right now. When God gave Micah a vision of a future kingdom where nations would stream to learn God's ways and swords would be beaten into plowshares, He was not just satisfying curiosity about what is coming. He was calling His people to live differently in the present. Future hope ought to produce present holiness. That is not a guilt trip. It is an invitation. When you truly believe that a perfect, just, and glorious kingdom is coming, it reshapes your priorities. The things that used to feel urgent start to feel less so. The things that truly matter, loving God, loving people, living with integrity, come into sharper focus. Think about it this way. If you knew a dear friend was coming to visit, you would prepare. You would make room. You would get ready. The King is coming. And that reality is meant to shape every ordinary day between now and then. You are not just waiting for the future. You are living toward it. And how you live now is a reflection of what you actually believe about what is coming.
