Monday: "When God Says No to Your Prayer"

Devotional
Have you ever prayed for something so desperately, so sincerely, and still heard nothing but silence? Paul did. He begged God three times to remove His thorn in the flesh. Three times. And God said no. That is a hard place to sit. When the pain does not go away, when the situation does not change, it is easy to wonder if God is listening at all. But God was not silent with Paul. He answered. Just not in the way Paul expected. God's answer was a promise: His grace is sufficient. Not "try harder." Not "you are on your own." A promise. His grace covers the gap between what we can handle and what we are actually facing. This is where faith begins to grow roots. Not in the easy seasons, but in the moments when we have nothing left to offer and we choose to trust anyway. God is not absent in your struggle. He is present, and He is working, even when you cannot see it yet. You are not forgotten. You are not overlooked. His grace is enough for exactly where you are today.
Bible Verse
"And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." - 2 Corinthians 12:9
Reflection Question
Is there a prayer you have been waiting on God to answer, and how might His silence actually be an invitation to trust Him more deeply?
Quote
"God's grace is sufficient, all right? God's grace is sufficient, all right?"
Prayer
Lord, when my prayers seem unanswered, remind me that Your grace is already at work. Help me to trust Your promise even when I cannot see the outcome.
