Tuesday: "The God Who Disciplines Because He Loves"

Nobody enjoys discipline. Whether it came from a parent growing up or a hard season in life, correction rarely feels good in the moment. But there is a difference between punishment and discipline, and that difference matters deeply. God disciplines His people not to destroy them, but to shape them. He is not indifferent to your struggles. He is actively involved in your growth. When a difficult season arrives, it is worth asking not just "why is this happening" but "what might God be doing in me through this?" A loving parent does not let a child run into traffic just to avoid conflict. In the same way, God loves you too much to let you wander unchecked. His correction is an act of love, not rejection. It is proof that you belong to Him. That truth should bring real comfort. You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. You are being shaped by a Father who is deeply invested in who you are becoming.
