Friday: "It Is Well, and It Will Be Well"

Devotional
Over five days, we have walked through four honest questions. Is it well with your salvation? Is it well with your sanctification? Is it well with your season? Is it well with your sight?
These are not questions designed to make you feel like you are failing. They are an invitation to build on a foundation that holds, no matter what comes.
Horatio Spafford's story did not end in grief. It ended in hope. The final verse of his hymn looks forward to a day when faith becomes sight, when the clouds roll back, when Jesus returns and every sorrow is swallowed up in glory. That hope was not wishful thinking. It was a settled confidence in a promise that cannot be broken.
We live in the tension between what is and what will be. Some days are hard. Some seasons feel impossible. But the anchor that held Spafford is the same anchor available to you today. It is not a feeling. It is a Person. And He is faithful.
Wherever you are as you finish this week, bring it to Him honestly. The peace He offers is not the absence of trouble. It is His presence in the middle of it. And that is more than enough.
Bible Verse
'He who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming soon." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!' -Revelation 22:20
Reflection Question
Looking back at the four questions from this week, which one revealed the area where you most need to grow, and what is one step you can take toward that growth?
Quote
Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight. The clouds be rolled back as a scroll. The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend. Even so, it is well with my soul.
Prayer
Lord, thank You that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. Whatever I am carrying, I trust it to You, and I choose to say, even now, it is well with my soul. Amen.
