Presents the
21st Annual Presentation of
The Jesus Story
Approximately
21 years ago a small group of Christians put on a
performance of the Passion Play at the Bible Baptist Church
in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey.
Since that time the play has grown to perform annually to
crowds numbering over 8,000. The cast, the crew, and the
costume designers has grown to over 100 committed Christian
volunteers.
The Passion Play is a musical drama that has touched and
changed the lives of many people. It crosses denominational
barriers and reminds us of the love and concern God has for
each of us. It is our prayer that you will be encouraged and
blessed by this years performance.
"The Jesus Story" is much more than just a passion play. It
is a story about the depths of God's love for us. Love was
the foundation of Jesus' life, the motive for his actions,
and the essence of His teachings.
In the New Testament book of 1 Corinthians 13:8, Paul tells
us that "Love never fails". How great it is to know that our
Lord didn't fail us. Jesus came, as God's perfect sacrifice
so that we may live forever.
The purpose of this play is not to entertain, but to present
the love of God for a lost and dying world. John 3:16 tells
us, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not
perish, but have everlasting life".
During this Easter season, the high holy day of the
Christian calendar, it is important for us to remember who
God is and what He has done for us. As we dramatize the
life, death and resurrection of Jesus, it is our hope that
you will personally experience God's love in a special way.
